Sarah-Emmanuelle Ruest merges her strengths as a creative producer, experiential events curator, and cultural connector to help establish spaces for emerging artists. Based in Toronto, she is dedicated to impactful storytelling, and considers the act of organizing, planning, collaborating, and bringing ideas to life as part of her artistic practice.
With a focus on queer representation and a commitment to the artist and the process, Sarah strives towards work created outside of traditional structures, accessible working models, and community engagement immersed into the production process.
Sarah holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Marketing Management from the University of Guelph, as well as a certificate in International Business from the Lucerne University of Applied Arts and Science. She has also earned certificates in Love as a Force for Social Justice and International Women’s Health and Human Rights from Stanford University.
Beyond media and event production, Sarah has served as the Programming Curator for the 2024 Pride Toronto Festival and has consulted on a number of successful digital campaigns and educational series for brands such as Urban Outfitters, Converse, Feeld, and Erika Lust.
Outside of her professional work, Sarah volunteers with The ArQuives: Canada’s LGBTQ2+ Archives and is preparing to pursue her Master’s in Library and Information Sciences.
